Z-CRT

Wake up to better vision.

When you are nearsighted distant objects appear blurry. Normally people wear glasses, contacts or surgery to correct this. Today, Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) design lenses provide a new and non-surgical option for patients with myopia. Patients wear lenses that gently reshape their cornea as they sleep.

This can work with or without moderate astigmatism. When patients remove the CRT lenses in the morning, the reshaped cornea allows light to focus on the retina. The result is clear, natural vision for all or most of the time patients are awake.

Z-CRT is FDA approved for up to –6.00 diopters of myopia and up to –1.75 diopters of astigmatism. Generally, the most successful patient are under –4.50 diopters, but myopes with up to –6.00 diopters have also experienced great success.

Corneal Refractive Therapy CRT is primarily a single lens therapy over a period of 5-14 days and takes advantage of advancements in computerized corneal mapping, computerized manufacturing and oxygen permeable contact lens materials to produce a therapeutic lens that is unique in its design and application.

Since 2006, Z-CRT has been manufactured by Paragon Vision Sciences, which officially launched the Paragon Z CRT in the U.S., following FDA approval for overnight corneal reshaping. For more information, visit the Paragon CRT website.
